Three years ago, Endpoint completed a significant wayfinding and signage project at the historic Theatre Royal Drury Lane (@lwtheatres), just in time for Disney's Frozen to light up the stage. Now, as that magical run recently concluded, we reflect on our contribution to this grand restoration. Our team navigated unique challenges in blending 21st-century functionality with 18th-century aesthetics. By carefully recreating historic typography using modern techniques, we ensured the signage seamlessly integrated with the theatre's Georgian architecture, while guiding guests through the venue's newly added amenities. From the King’s side to the Prince’s side, every detail was thoughtfully designed to honour the theatre’s rich legacy while serving its contemporary needs. We're proud to have played a part in revitalising this iconic West End landmark, enhancing the visitor experience for the past three unforgettable years.Check out the link in our bio to explore the incredible £60 million restoration project! Celebrating six years of transformation at the Royal Opera House!Saturday 21st September marks six years since the Royal Opera House unveiled its ambitious "Open Up" project, designed to make this iconic cultural landmark more accessible, welcoming, and inclusive. Endpoint was proud to be part of this remarkable journey, working alongside @stanton_williams and the ROH Audience Experience Team to enhance the wayfinding experience across the venue. Our mission was clear: to help visitors navigate the space with ease and improve the overall visitor experience. By introducing our seamless, user-centred wayfinding system, we achieved:- Reduced foyer congestion and shorter "street to seat" journey times (under 3 minutes!).
- Fewer "lock-outs" due to late arrivals, thanks to our innovative ticketing and signage design.
- A more intuitive experience for all, including international visitors and first-time guests.Want to learn more about our work on this project? At Endpoint, we're excited to be utilising Virtual Reality (VR) on some of our wayfinding projects to create immersive 3D environments that mirror real-world spaces. This isn't just great for collaboration; it also lets us, our clients, and architects view the project from the end-user's perspective. By experiencing our wayfinding and signage in VR, we can identify potential challenges and address them before implementing the design—something that's often tough to achieve with traditional methods.Watch this space for upcoming videos and photos of our innovative work!
