Condé Nast College of Fashion & Design – Signage design

Bringing to life a 'modern and elegant' visual identity befitting of a college for fashion and design.

View

The Condé Nast College of Fashion & Design opened its doors in Spring 2013 to welcome its first students. Founded by magazine publisher, Condé Nast, in association with Vogue, every year the college gives 300 students the changes to study in the heart of London – one of the world’s most fashionable capital cities.

The college building – No 16 Greek Street in Soho – was completely revitalised by Feilden Clegg Bradley Studios in time for the grand opening. The all-white decor with outstanding facilities provide a state-of-the-art learning environment that is both inspirational and provocative.

We worked closely with design agency, Together, and Susie Forbes – former British Vogue editor and principal of Condé Nast College – to develop internal and external signage using a new, timeless visual identity.

The new identity uses carefully composed type and subtle foiling on print. The signs themselves were designed to cast shadows. We planned and devised the concept strategy for the new signage, producing working guidelines for manufacturers and installers. We also conducted product prototyping and made on-site quality checks
